  • 12 grams MAGGI® Rice it Up Chinese Fried Rice Seasoning
  • 2 Sprigs Thyme
  • 1 Teaspoon Allspice Powder (Pimento)
  • 1/4 Cup Onion Chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Escallion Chopped
  • 1 Unit Scotch Bonnet Whole
  • 2 Cups Red Kidney Beans (drained & liquids reserved)
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Butter
  • 2 Cups Cold Water
  • 3 Cups Rice, white, glutinous, unenriched, uncooked
  • 1 Package MAGGI® Coconut Milk Powder (50g) dissolved in 2 cups lukewarm water

Instructions

  • 1.Add MAGGI LIQUID COCONUT MILK, reserved liquid from peas and water to a pot and allow to come to a boil.
  • 2.Add peas, onion, scallion, pimento, thyme, garlic, ginger, pepper, allow to simmer. Add MAGGI CHINESE FRIED RICE IT UP to the pot along with the rice and butter.
  • 3.Cook until liquid evaporates. Once liquid evaporates completely lower flame and cover with a tight lid.
  • 4.Allow rice to cook for approximately 15 minutes or until tender.
