Ingredients

  • 1 Teaspoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Unit Onion (diced)
  • 3 Tablespoons Pimento/ Seasoning Peppers (minced)
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic (minced)
  • 400 Grams Lentil Peas
  • 5 Cups Water
  • 6 cubes MAGGI® Onion and Garlic Flavoured Seasoning Cubes
  • 2 Tablespoons Chive (minced)

Instructions

    1. In a medium pot, heat oil and butter on medium heat. Sauté onions, pimento peppers and garlic until onions are translucent.

    2. Add lentil peas, water and Onion and Garlic Cubes.

    3. Bring water to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer.

    4. Cook until peas are tender. Stirring every 5 minutes to prevent sticking.

    5. Add chives to the pot, stirring to incorporate. Serve immediately.
