Ingredients

  • 4 Pounds Pork Baby Back Ribs
  • 4 Packs Maggi Season-Up! All Purpose Powdered Seasoning 10G Sachet
  • 1 1/2 Cup Onion Ingredient for barbecue sauce, finely chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Garlic Ingredient for barbecue sauce, finely chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Ketchup Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Tomato Products, Canned, Paste, Without Salt Added Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Cider Vinegar Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Honey Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Sauce, Worcestershire Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Dijon Mustard Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce Made From Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Sauce, Hoisin, Ready-To-Serve Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Chilli Powder Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 Tablespoon Ground Cumin Ingredient for barbecue sauce
  • 2 Cubes Maggi Chicken Tomato Flavoured Seasoning Cubes 4G (Box Of 25)
  • 2 Cubes Maggi Chicken Flavoured Seasoning Cubes 4G (Box Of 25)

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven at 350°F (180°C). Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil.

    2. Place the ribs on the sheet pan meat-side up and sprinkle them with MAGGI Season Up All Purpose. Cover with foil and leave to marinate for 30 minutes in refrigerator. Place sheet pan with ribs in the oven and bake for 1 hour.

    3. To make the barbeque sauce. Heat oil in a large saucepan over low heat. Add onions and cook for 10 minutes until onions are translucent but not browned. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Add tomato ketchup, tomato paste, vinegar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili powder, cumin and Chicken Pepper Cubes.

    4. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.

    5. Pour some of the barbecue sauce generously on rack and cover the ribs loosely with foil. Bake for 1hr and 15 minutes or until meat is tender when tested with a fork. As soon as the ribs are out of the oven spread them generously with the remaining barbecue sauce. Broil / grill for 5-8 minutes and serve.
