Smash Burgers

Ingredients

Portions: 6

  • 4 Tablespoons Escallion
  • 2 Tablespoons DLT Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 2 Teaspoons MAGGI ® Unique Beef Seasoning
  • 2 Teaspoons MAGGI® Pepper Sauce Hot N' Spicy
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Nestlé Omega Low Fat Milk 1L Carton
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 6 Pita Breads
  • 1 large Tomatoes
  • 1 Cup Lettuce, Green Leaf, Raw
  • 12 Dill Pickle Slices
  • 6 Grams Cheese, Cheddar, Sharp, Sliced

Instructions

  • 1.Sautee scallion and garlic in butter on low-medium heat for 5 minutes. Then reserve and cool over ice water bath.
  • 2.Chop and mix beef to paste like texture for 5 minutes.
  • 3.Add the cooled seasonings and continue to chop and mince for an additional 3 minutes.
  • 4.Transfer mixture to a bowl and add egg, milk and soy sauce then mix for 2 minutes
  • 5.Ball mixture into 6 equal portions and reserve.
  • 6.Brush the edges of both sides of pita bread with melted butter.
  • 7.Add ball mixture of beef to the centre of the pita bread spreading to the edges.
  • 8.In a griddle pan or skillet on medium-high heat, place the pita bread meat side down and cook for 6-8 minutes.
  • 9.Turn up the fire, flip the pita bread and add your cheese and melt for 30 seconds.
  • 10.Remove from pan, add condiments and toppings of your choice, serve hot and enjoy.
