Ingredients

  • 1 Unit DLT Egg For muffins
  • 1/4 Cup Caramel Sauce
  • 1 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar For muffins
  • 2 Tablespoon DLT Butter
  • 2 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence For muffins
  • 2 Tablespoon DLT Granulated Sugar
  • 2 1/2 Cup DLT Flour For muffins
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 Tablespoon Vinegar, Distilled For muffins
  • 2 Cup Apples, Raw, Without Skin For muffins, coarsely chopped with or without peeling
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Leavening Agents, Baking Soda For muffins
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt, Table For muffins
  • 2 1/2 Teaspoon Leavening Agents, Baking Powder, Double-Acting, Straight Phosphate For muffins
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil For muffins
  • 1 Cup CARNATION® Full Cream Evaporated Milk 330ml Carton For muffins
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/4 Cup DLT Flour

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients for streusel topping and set aside.
  • In another bowl mix Evaporated Milk and vinegar and set aside for 5 minute to make buttermilk.
  • After 5 minutes, add oil, egg, brown sugar and vanilla essence to buttermilk mixture. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
  • Pour buttermilk mixture into flour mixture to form muffin batter.
  • Gently fold in the chopped apples.
  • Pour batter into pre-lined muffin pans and top each muffin with streusel topping.
  • Bake in pre heated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes before drizzling with caramel sauce.
