  • 1 Cup Sea Salt
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 4 Cups Water (1 quart)
  • 3 Tablespoons Black Peppercorns (or assorted peppercorns)
  • 1/2 Cup Herbs of Choice
  • 2 Pounds Pork Chops
  • 2 Tablespoons NESCAFÉ® Classic Double Filter
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 2 Teaspoons Chili Flakes
  • 1 Tablespoon MAGGI® Season-Up Ginger Powdered Seasoning
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Instructions

For The Brine

  • 1.In a large container, combine salt, sugar, peppercorns and herbs. Submerge pork chops and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • 2.Remove pork from the brine and dry thoroughly. Preheat an oven to 400˚F (204˚C)

For the Coffee Rub

  • 3.In a small bowl, combine NESCAFÉ® Classic Double Filter, brown sugar, paprika, cayenne pepper, chili flakes and MAGGI® Season Up Ginger.
  • 4.Rub olive oil onto pork chops followed by the coffee mixture.
  • 5.In a non-stick skillet or grill, sear the pork chops on high heat for 2 minutes on each side.
  • 6.Finish in the oven until the chops reach an internal temperature of 145˚F (63˚C)
  • 7.Let rest for 10 minutes before serving with sides of choice.
