  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 large Onion (diced)
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic (minced)
  • 2 Tablespoons Pimento/ Seasoning Peppers (finely chopped)
  • 1 Pound Fresh mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 Teaspoon Black-pepper
  • 1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 4 Cups Nestle 100% Low Fat Milk
  • 4 Cubes MAGGI® Chicken Cube (dissolved into 2 cups hot water)
  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 8 Ounces Cream cheese (1 pack)
  • 4 Cups Cooked Chicken (shredded)
  • 2 Cups Baby Spinach Leaves
  • 375 Grams Lasagna Sheets (1 box cooked according to package instructions)
  • 2 Cups Grated Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions

  • 1.In a large pot, heat oil and butter add onion, garlic and pimento peppers. Cook until onions are translucent
  • 2.Add mushrooms and black pepper and cook until mushrooms are cooked through. Remove mushrooms from the pan and set aside.
  • 3.To the same pot, add flour to the pot and stir constantly to prevent sticking. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • 4.Slowly add NESTLÉ® Low Fat Milk and dissolved MAGGI® Chicken Cubes, stirring to combine thoroughly. Cook until slightly thickened.
  • 5.Add cheddar, parmesan and cream cheese. Stirring to get rid of any lumps and sauce is thickened. Turn off the heat and add mushrooms, cooked chicken and baby spinach. Set aside.
  • 6.In a buttered casserole dish, spread some cheese sauce to cover bottom of dish. Then layer alternately a layer of noodles, chicken & mushroom sauce and some mozzarella cheese until noodles have been used up.
  • 7.Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190˚C) for 30 – 40 minutes until heated through and the top is speckled with golden brown spots.
  • 8.Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
