Caramel Apple Muffins

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps Butter
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 2 tbsps Granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon powder
  • ½ cup Chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup CARNATION Full Cream Evaporated Milk
  • 1 tbsp White vinegar
  • ½ cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 ½ cups Brown sugar
  • 2 tsps Vanilla essence
  • 2 ½ cups All purpose flour
  • 2 ½ tsps Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • 2 cups Coarsely chopped apples (with or without peeling)
  • ¼ cup Caramel sauce

Instructions

    1. In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients for streusel topping and set aside.

    2. In another bowl mix Evaporated Milk and vinegar and set aside for 5 minute to make buttermilk.

    3. After 5 minutes, add oil, egg, brown sugar and vanilla essence to buttermilk mixture. Set aside.

    4. In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda.

    5. Pour buttermilk mixture into flour mixture to form muffin batter

    6. Gently fold in the chopped apples

    7. Pour batter into pre-lined muffin pans and top each muffin with streusel topping.

    8. Bake in pre heated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown

    9. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes before drizzling with caramel sauce.
