Surprise Plantain Porridge

  • 1 Cup Plantain Green ( peel and sliced)
  • 1 Cup Carrot Chopped
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg, ground
  • 1 Pinch Salt Add salt to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla essence
  • 6 Cups Water
  • 1/4 Cup MAGGI Coconut Milk Powder (50g)
  • 1 2/3 Cup Betty Sweetened Condensed Milk Preparation


  1. Bring two cups of water to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and add the salt, vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon, and Coconut Milk Powder

  2. In the meantime, pour (4) cups water into a blender, add the plantain, carrot and oats. Blend until smooth.

  3. Pour the plantain mixture into the pot with the spices, stir continuously (to avoid lumps) until thickens.

  4. Continue cooking for another ten (10) minutes, then sweeten with Sweetened Condensed milk, adjust sweetness as desired.
