Plantain Pie

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Pounds Minced Beef
  • 3 Tablespoons Chadon Beni (5 leaves)
  • 2 Tablespoons Pimento/ Seasoning Peppers (diced, approx. 4 peppers)
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic (minced, approx. 3 cloves)
  • 2 Tablespoons MAGGI® Season-Up All Purpose Powdered Seasoning
  • 2 Tablespoons MAGGI® Green Seasoning Spicy
  • 1/2 Cup Cream cheese (softened)
  • 6 Units Ripe Plantains (boiled and mashed)
  • 2 1/2 Cups Cheddar Cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 Cup CARNATION® Full Cream Evaporated Milk

Instructions

  • 1.  In a bowl, season minced meat with, chadon beni, pimento/seasoning peppers, garlic, Season Up and Green Seasoning.
  • 2.  Add seasoned minced beef to a non-stick pot over medium-high heat, until cooked. Set aside.
  • 3.  Add cooked beef to mashed plantain, stirring to combine.
  • 4.  Add cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups cheese, Evaporated Milk and stir to combine.
  • 5.  Add this mixture to a greased baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  • 6.  Bake for 25- 30 minutes (or until cooked through) in a preheated 350˚F (180˚C) oven.
