Cheesy Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Boneless Chicken Breast Fillets (approximately 4)
  • 1 Packet MAGGI® Season-Up! Chicken Powdered Seasoning (10g)
  • 2 Slices Ham (cut in half)
  • 1/4 Cup Cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (combined with mozzarella)
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Large Eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 3 Cups Vegetable Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  • 1.  Heat oven to 350°F (180˚C). Spray a baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside
  • 2.  Season chicken breast with MAGGI® Season Up Chicken.
  • 3.  On a cutting board, place a chicken breast on a piece of plastic wrap and carefully butterfly chicken, then cover with another piece of plastic wrap.
  • 4.  Working from center, gently pound chicken with flat side of meat mallet until about ¼ inch thick; remove wrap. Repeat with remaining chicken breast.
  • 5.  Place 1 half slice ham on each chicken breast half. Spread each with 1 tablespoon cream cheese; sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon cheese. Starting at short end, roll up. Secure with additional plastic wrap and set aside into the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until set.
  • 6.  Place breadcrumbs into a medium bowl. Carefully remove plastic wrap from the chicken and dip into flour, then egg and coat with breadcrumbs repeat for each roll. Set aside.
  • 7.  Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat and fry chicken, on each side until golden brown.
  • 8.  Place chicken into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear. Serve hot with sides of choice.
