Fried Chicken

An all time favourite recipe comes to life with the addition of Maggi and Carnation Full Cream Milk.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pounds Chicken whole, cut into 10 pieces
  • 1 Cup Onion Chopped
  • 2 Sprigs Thyme Chopped
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic Chopped
  • 3 Pieces Egg Beaten
  • 4 ounces CARNATION® Full Cream Evaporated Milk
  • 1 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Cups Oil For Frying
  • 20 Grams Maggi Season-Up! Chicken Powdered Seasoning 10G Sachet

Instructions

  • 1.  Place onion, thyme, scotch bonnet pepper, garlic and 1/3 cup oil in a blender and process until smooth.
  • 2.  Pour blended mixture over the chicken along with 2 tbsp of Maggi Chicken Season Up and leave to marinate for 45 minutes.
  • 3.  Whisk together eggs and Carnation Evaporated Milk in a bowl.
  • 4.  Place flour in another bowl and season with 1 tbsp Maggi Chicken Season Up.
  • 5.  Coat seasoned chicken in egg mixture then flour. Repeat in batches until all chicken is completely coated. Dust off excess flour.
  • 6.  In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat oil to approximately 375 degrees F.
  • 7.  Carefully place coated chicken in heated oil working in two batches. Fry chicken until golden brown and until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
