MAGGI® NESQUIK® Almond Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Tablespoons Pimento/ Seasoning Peppers (diced)
  • 4 Units Garlic Cloves (diced)
  • 1 Stalk Celery (diced)
  • 0.5 Pound Saltfish rinsed and boiled once (to remove some salt)
  • 1/4 Cup Pumpkin (diced)
  • 1/2 Cup Nature's Heart Almond Unsweetened Drink
  • 4 1/2 Cups Water
  • 1 Packet MAGGI® Soup It Up! Fish Tea
  • 1 Medium Carrot (cut into rounds)
  • 2 Sprigs Thyme
  • 4 Sprigs Chive/Escallion (chopped)
  • 2 Tablespoons Lime Juice (to taste)
  • 1 Tablespoon MAGGI® Pepper Sauce Hot N' Spicy
  • 1/2 Cup NESQUIK® Chocolate Flavoured Cereal
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon MAGGI® Season-Up Ginger

Instructions

  • 1.  Heat a medium stock pot over medium high heat.
  • 2.  Add oil and sauté onion, garlic and celery until onions are translucent.
  • 3.  Add saltfish, pumpkin, Nature’s Heart Almond Drink Unsweetened®, water, MAGGI® Soup It Up Fish Tea and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
  • 4.  Reduce to a simmer, add carrots, thyme and chive/escallion.
  • 5.  Add lime juice and pepper sauce to taste.
  • 6.  In a food processor combine NESQUIK® Cereal, Cayenne Pepper and MAGGI® Season Up Ginger.
  • 7.  Serve soup hot with spiced NESQUIK® powder.
