Ingredients

  • 1 Teaspoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Unit Onion (diced)
  • 3 Tablespoons Pimento/ Seasoning Peppers (minced)
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic (minced)
  • 400 Grams Lentil Peas
  • 5 Cups Water
  • 6 Cubes MAGGI® Onion and Garlic Cubes
  • 2 Tablespoons Chive (minced)

Instructions

  • 1.  In a medium pot, heat oil and butter on medium heat. Sauté onions, pimento peppers and garlic until onions are translucent.
  • 2.  Add lentil peas, water and Onion and Garlic Cubes.
  • 3.  Bring water to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer.
  • 4.  Cook until peas are tender. Stirring every 5 minutes to prevent sticking.
  • 5.  Add chives to the pot, stirring to incorporate. Serve immediately.
