Brownie Cheesecake Squares
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Butter
- 2 1/4 Cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
(or vanilla essence)
- 1/2 Tablespoon NESCAFÉ® Classic Double Filter
- 4 Units Egg
- 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Cups Cream cheese
- 3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup CARNATION® Full Cream Evaporated Milk
- 2 Units Egg
- 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 6 ounces NESTLÉ® Toll House(since 1939) Semi-Sweet Morsels

Instructions

2. In a large, heavy bottom saucepan, melt butter, then add 2¼ cups granulated sugar and continue to cook until sugar dissolves.

3. Remove from the heat and mix in the salt, cocoa powder, baking powder, 2 teaspoons vanilla essence and Coffee (optional) thoroughly.
I've made this recipe twice & would have rated it 1 star the first time. There was way too much cheesecake & it was hard to thoroughly cook the brownie without overcooking the cheesecake. I ended up scraping off the cheesecake, and they were delicious after being refrigerated and served cold.
The second go around, I dropped a layer of brownie mix, then about 2/3 of the cheesecake, then the rest of the brownie, then marbled it. The cheesecake recipe is too much IMO, but its all personal taste. One thing is for sure, layer it! Brownie / Cheesecake / Brownie.
