Turtle Poke Cake
Moist chocolate cake topped with chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and pecans.
Ingredients
- 2 cups CARNATION® Full Cream Evaporated Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Vinegar
- 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 3 Cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 Tablespoon Salt
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1 Cup Warm Water
- 1/2 Cup Butter
(melted)
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2/3 cup CARNATION® Full Cream Evaporated Milk
- 2 1/4 cups NESTLÉ® Toll House(since 1939) Semi-Sweet Morsels
- 6 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup NESTLÉ® Cream
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup Pecans
(chopped)
Instructions

3. With a hand/stand mixer, mix flour, cocoa powder, 3 cups sugar, baking soda, baking powder and ½ tablespoon salt until they are well combined

4. Create a well in the flour mixture and pour Evaporated Milk mixture, eggs, water, ½ cup melted butter and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
