Yellow Yam Sweet Bread

  • 1 Lb Yellow Yam, grated
  • 1 Cup Whole Wheat flour
  • 1 Can CARNATION Evaporated Milk
  • ½ Cup MAGGI Coconut Milk Powder
  • 11/3 Cup NESTLE Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 Ozs Margarine, melted
  • ½ Tsp. Salt
  • 2 Med Egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsps. Baking Powder
  • ½ Cup Raisins


  1. To yam, add the carnation Evaporated milk, 2/3 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk, margarine and one beaten egg, combine well

  2. In another bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.

  3. Adding dry mixture to yam mixture a little at a time until well combined.

  4. Pour mixture into a greased baking pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes then remove from oven. Pour the remaining Sweetened Condensed Milk and egg in a small bowl

  5. Pour milk and egg mixture over the half baked bread and put it back in the oven for 45 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
