Salt Fish and Breadfruit Balls

  • 1 Medium Breadfruit
  • 2 MAGGI Garlic Onion Cubes
  • ½ cup Butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 1 Medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Pimento peppers, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Chive, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp White pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ cup CARNATION Full Cream Evaporated Milk
  • 1 cup Flaked salt fish (boiled to remove excess salt, with skin & bones removed)
  • 3 cups Extra fine egg noodles (broken into 2” pieces) Oil for deep frying


  1. Peel breadfruit and cut into cubes. Boil in a large pot of water with Cubes

  2. Drain breadfruit and crush. Combine with remainder of ingredients except noodles and oil.

  3. Make balls with breadfruit mixture, approx. 2” in diameter.

  4. Place balls on a baking sheet and coat with noodles by pressing noodles around the sides of the balls using your hand

  5. Deep fry balls until golden brown.
