Pickled Breadfruit

  • 1 Breadfruit
  • 3 cups Hot water
  • 1 med. Onion, sliced into rings
  • 3 tbsps. Lime juice
  • 6 Maggi Garlic Onion Bouillon Cubes
  • 1 Hot pepper / scotch bonnet pepper sliced


    1. Peel, core and slice the breadfruit into ½ inche slices.

    2. Boil breadfruit slices until tender, strain and set aside.

    3. In hot water, add onion, lime juice, bouillon cubes and hot pepper / scotch bonnet pepper. Stir to mix. Leave to cool.

    4. Place breadfruit in bouillon broth and leave to marinate for at least half an hour.

    5. Serve at room temperature.
