Orange Guava Tea Loaf

  • 1 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt, Table
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Leavening Agents, Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Leavening Agents, Baking Powder, Double-Acting, Straight Phosphate
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Ground All Spice
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 3/4 Cup CARNATION® Full Cream Evaporated Milk 330ml Carton
  • 1 Tablespoon Vinegar, Distilled
  • 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Marmalade
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Orange Zest
  • 2 Units Egg Large sized egg
  • 4 Ounces Guava Cheese Thinly sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Sugars, Powdered
  • 1/2 Tablespoon ORCHARD® 100% Orange Juice 1L Carton
  • 2 Cups Chopped Nuts Nuts of choice to garnish


    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

    2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, all spice, nutmeg and walnuts.

    3. In another bowl combine, Evaporated milk and vinegar. Stir and leave for 2 minutes before adding sugar, oil, marmalade, orange zest and eggs.

    4. Spoon half of the batter into a greased and floured loaf pan. Place guava cheese slices on top of batter and cover with remaining batter.

    5. Bake for 40 -45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in centre comes out clean.

    6. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

    7. Mix icing sugar and Orange Juice to form a smooth paste. Drizzle over loaf and garnish with nuts.
