In a mixing bowl, stir together flour, oats, baking powder, salt and sugar.

In another mixing bowl, combine egg, milk and butter.

Add to flour mixture all at once.

Stir mixture till just blended, but still slightly lumpy.

Pour a ¼ cup batter in a slightly greased non stick frying pan. Cook until golden turning when the bubbles are on the surface and the edges slightly dry.

Serve with fruit, honey or apple sauce.
