Mix together meat, season up, bread crumbs, egg, celery, carrots and onions.

Divide the meat into four portions and shape into a round patty.

Melt the butter with the oil in a frying pan. Add the patties and brown quickly on each side.

Reduce the heat and cook for a further 3-4 minutes on each side.

Peel and slice the whole onions. Add to pan and continue to fry for a further 5-6 minutes, until the onions are translucent.

Top each burger with the onions and serve on a warm hamburger bun.
