Jerk Burger with Onions

  • 1lb Mince beef
  • 1 pk MAGGI Season Up Jerk
  • 4 tbsp Bread crumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Grated celery (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Grated carrots
  • 1 tbsp Grated onion
  • 1 oz Butter
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 medium onions


    1. Mix together meat, season up, bread crumbs, egg, celery, carrots and onions.

    2. Divide the meat into four portions and shape into a round patty.

    3. Melt the butter with the oil in a frying pan. Add the patties and brown quickly on each side.

    4. Reduce the heat and cook for a further 3-4 minutes on each side.

    5. Peel and slice the whole onions. Add to pan and continue to fry for a further 5-6 minutes, until the onions are translucent.

    6. Top each burger with the onions and serve on a warm hamburger bun.
